Summer is almost here, and before long, farmers will once again be thinking about soybean rust. While we don't know exactly when and where rust will show up, I'm glad soybean growers have a valuable tool like TOPGUARD® fungicide available when it does - especially with soybean prices at near record highs. As you know, TOPGUARD has a Section 18 emergency exemption for soybean rust control in most soybean producing states.* I talked with many of you last year at the Ag Media Summit, and I believe you're familiar with the unique advantages TOPGUARD offers. But if you have any questions, just send me an email from the TOPGUARD website at www.topguardforrust.com, and I'll be happy to answer them.

You may have heard that we have recently added several sulfonylurea herbicides to our already diverse product line. These new herbicides are effective and economical alternatives to the traditional herbicides used in corn, small grain, rangeland, pasture and other crops.

Our new sulfonylurea herbicides include ACCURATE® and ACCURATE EXTRA, REPORT and REPORT EXTRA, HARASS, NIMBLE, NUANCE, NIC-IT and CHISUM. These products work in crops ranging from wheat and barley to corn and pasture.

I'm especially excited about NIC-IT herbicide, which has nicosulfuron as the active ingredient. You see, NIC-IT can not only prevent yield loss from grass weed pressure, but also controls several annual broadleaf weeds. Plus, NIC-IT has a new liquid formulation that works especially well in custom applications, which makes tank-mixing with other labeled products a lot easier. Growers and applicators will find this new liquid formulation to be a real advantage. You can learn more about all our products, by visiting www.cheminova.us.com.

Be sure to come by the Cheminova booth at the Agricultural Media Summit this summer down in Tampa and let us tell you more about how Cheminova can help your readers grow more efficiently. Thanks!
